I promised you all a giveaway when I got home from market, didn't I? I hadn't forgotten. I just got sidetracked. I've still got to do Quilt Market part 2 as a blog post. I'll get there!
Here's what you get....
* FQ stack (12 FQs and 1 panel) of Created by Kim Schaefer for Andover fabrics (I liked these because I thought they'd be perfect for a scrappy quilt. Lots of purple and sludgy colours that you may not have picked normally. They're cute. I promise. Purple is very big in the new fabric collections - lots of it.)
* a set of Tina Givens notecards
* some insanely cute ribbons by J Caroline Creative
* a pack of precious (and apparently tasty - you're just lucky I'm allergic to dairy) Tula Pink M&Ms
What do I want from you?
New name suggestions for the scrap vomit quilt. Look at it - what does it say to you? What should it be named? I have to admit, I personally am very fond of the Scrap Vomit name, but admittedly it's not very pretty sounding. So I'm handing it over to you guys. I'll pick a new name with help from the small monkeys in a week's time.

In other news......

Issue 3 of Fat Quarterly is out today. The theme this time is fussy cutting and we all had a really good time with this theme. I think it's the best issue yet. I am a little biased, but there are a couple of quilts in there that are totally on 'the list'. One day I'll get round to making everything on that list. My project is a nice easy weekend one - and perfect for Christmas presents too. All you need is one charm pack, an old towel and a scrap of batting. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

It looks gorgeous, Katy. I'm rather fond of the scrap vomit name, myself. In fact, I've taken to calling brightly colored scrap projects clown vomit, in your honor. Someday, when I have a few UFOs off my table, I'm going to need to do one of these to clean up the obscene amount of scraps taking over my studio!
wow so many suggestions! I wanted to read them all but thought I wouldn't be able to come up with my own!
I think 'scrappy sherbert rainbow' or 'sherbert rainbow' - although it's not a traditional rainbow pattern I feel as though that best describes the amazing colours and the black helps to set that off. also sherbert cos it indicates all the different colour shades included - it's just gorgeous too!!
SPLAT!
:)
It reminds me of some of the photos from the Hubble Telescope, particularly the God's Eye Nebula, so that is what I would call it!
When I look at it it reminds me of Wind Chimes or Chinese Lanterns, although I have to say I really like Scrap Vomit. I do understand not everyone would love that name though, LOL.
Ok, cauchy09 had the same idea as me. I was going to say you should call it:
"Scrappies in the Sky with Diamonds"
But after reading all of the entries there are so many great ones! I like "Psychedelic Rhapsody", "ScrapBling", "The Scrap Menagerie", "Pixel Perfect", and "Scrap Vortex".
BTW, it totally reminds me of Chinese Checkers too.
I think it has a southwestern look to it, so how about Santa Fe Psychedelic?
