Here I am holding the new puppy.
So much less mess than a real puppy.
John, I'll pop him in the mail next week. Hope the hope valley is kind of manly enough for you. It's pretty awesome, I think. And I'm still not fed up of it, despite seeing it every day whilst stitching up the dresden plate (that is currently in the magic hands of Christine). Which is kind of good, because I technically have another full set of half yards supposedly on it's way to me (if it ever shows up *sigh*)
I'll tell you next week, maybe, what me and the Floss have been secretly up to. That's if Brioni gives me the thumbs up.
Right now it's the sewing olympics. Team KJ (c'est moi) is hoping to win gold. The event for the day - 4 x flea market fancy/katie jump rope string blocks for this neglected project.
Cheer me on. I'm a Brit, we're not all that hot at winning medals. Not gold ones, at least.

I'll cheer you, you cheer me and we'll both win gold! How about that??
Loving this doggie that I'm adding it to my sewing olympics list for next week.

It's not about the gold medals...it's about the personal stories overcoming adversity!! Nations coming together peacefully!! The thrill of victory for ANYONE who achieves a gold medal!!
I love the olympics. I am going to stow away to London for the summer games!
Ahhh! olympics, the very thought of that entire word makes me want to put my feet up and do nothing. I think it's just the thought of all that competitveness even in stitch format. Obviously I am only saying that as I am *crap* at competing of any kind....
Go Team GB!
Aneela - I'm not much into competing either but luckily these olympics are just for fun...get those WIPS done and win a virtual medal. That's the kind of competition I can do ;)
Oh poo! Ahem, I mean, congrats John. ;-)
Love the Hope Valley puppy, what a cutie!
Good luck going for Gold Katy. I have to write up my to do list. I'm hoping to get right up to date with my swap blocks. In the words of the little train that could "I think I can, I think I can....." :-)
Katy, Look at you!! Your are just too cute!! Have fun with your olympics !
PS Katie Jump Rope~~ My favorite too!
Woohoo, congrats John! John's so awesome, he definitely deserves a scotty dog!
Just for year I'll cheer for the Brits second, after all Canada definitely has to be cheered on first over here! The opening ceremonies were awesome, even if that rendition of the Canadian national anthem did leave me gagging a bit!
You could win chocolate medals, at least you could eat those. 'Ere, you're not a ginger monkey at all! You do look nice tho'.
good luck with your sewing olympics, I'm still wondering about your slightly secret project!
: )
Cute puppy! Happy olympic sewing!
Oh yay for John and his scotty dog! And I wish you great success in your olympic challenges - a very good excuse to get some work out of the way! Go team KJ!!
You are just too cool for school! Who has dressers like that?? you.
p.s. i love overfeeding your fish. is that rude?
No kidding! Did I really win??! I am SO excited! That Scotty dog is awesome ... and in Denyse Schmidt fabrics?? Wow. Thanks so much!
that's utterly the most divine photo Katy - it has a wonderful Brideshead quality with the sweep of the velvet curtain, the gilt of the mirror, the doggie, and then of course your gorgeous eccentricity!
